\n<\/span>Are you ready to hit a theatrical home run? Join us for auditions for <\/span>“Bleacher Bums”<\/b>, the hilariously heartfelt comedy conceived by Joe Mantegna and written by The Organic Theater Company.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the Play:<\/b><\/h3>\n

Set in the outfield bleachers of Chicago\u2019s beloved Wrigley Field, <\/span>“Bleacher Bums”<\/b> is a slice-of-life comedy about a group of devoted (and sometimes dysfunctional) Cubs fans. Over the course of a single game, this passionate bunch cheers, jeers, and banters their way through a rollercoaster of emotions\u2014hope, despair, and joy\u2014all while navigating personal quirks and relationships. It\u2019s a love letter to baseball, camaraderie, and the unique community of fans who make it all so special.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether you\u2019re a baseball buff or simply love great character-driven comedy, <\/span>“Bleacher Bums”<\/b> will have you laughing, reminiscing, and rooting for the underdogs!<\/span><\/p>\n

Roles Available:<\/h3>\n

Zig:<\/b> The die-hard Cubs fan and self-appointed leader of the bleacher crew. Passionate and optimistic, but occasionally overbearing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Greg:<\/b> The intellectual among the group, always armed with stats and facts. He\u2019s analytical and sometimes a bit nerdy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Decker:<\/b> A loud and opinionated gambler who\u2019s constantly placing bets on the game\u2014and everything else.<\/span><\/p>\n

Melody:<\/b> A sweet, daydreaming fan who loves the game for the beauty of it. Often the voice of reason.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cheerleader:<\/b> The energetic and enthusiastic fan who never lets the crowd’s spirits dip\u2014sometimes to the annoyance of others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Richie:<\/b> A quiet, gentle soul who comes to the games for a sense of belonging. A true Cubs devotee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marvin:<\/b> The outspoken, overly pessimistic fan who is hilariously blunt and often contrary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rose:<\/b> A savvy and sharp-witted fan who brings a no-nonsense attitude and has a warm heart underneath.<\/span><\/p>\n

Various Vendors and Fans:<\/b> Colorful, memorable characters who add vibrancy to the atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n
