Summer Camp Fun!Camp Registration

The registration deadline is one week before each session of camp begins. A $50 deposit per session is required upon registration. Deposits are non-refundable and they are included in the camp fees. All camp fees must be paid in full by June 3, 2017 or upon session registration after that date. Since space is limited and the counselors are hired to fulfill group size, the camp fees cannot be pro-rated. Please note that on-line registration is an available option to sign up for all camp programs. Please keep in mind, that on accession, we may ask to see your child’s birth certificate to resolve any possible problems.

Day Camp CookoutCamp Registration

Camp Payments
Payments for Day Camp, Camp Operation Fun and Pre/Post Camps can be made by using a major credit card, cash or check. All payments for camp programs are accepted at the Community Center located at 75 E Richmond Street. Please call the Park District at (630)963-5252 for any further information regarding payments.

 

Camp Forms
A camper packet including a camper information form, an emergency form and a camp reference guide will be mailed to registered campers before the camp season begins. For the safety of all children enrolled in the summer camps, a completed child information packet along with any applicable medical form must be submitted by the first day of camp that your child plans to attend camp. 
Once the programs have started, forms will be available upon registration. Camp forms are also available on line, please visit the Westmont Park District website at www.westmontparks.org go the programs and click on camps.

Camp Staff
All activities are supervised by fully trained counselors who are certified in first aid, CPR and AED. Our counselors are outstanding because they serve as healthy role models, while maintaining a safe environment that is engaging and respectful for every participant.  The camp staff is carefully selected for their leadership abilities, caring nature and strong desire to work with children of all ages in both small and large groups in a recreational setting. 

Parent Orientation
Parents and campers are encouraged to attend the camp orientation meeting on Wednesday June 7 at 7 p.m. at the Community Center located at 75 E Richmond St. This is a great opportunity to meet the camp staff, learn important information and have all your camp questions answered.

Lunch & Snacks
Day Camp and Camp Operation Fun campers should bring their lunch and two light snacks in a cooled container. An insulated water bottle marked with their name should be brought to camp each day as well. Water breaks will be taken often and encouraged throughout the day.

Swimming
Campers from each camp will utilize Lions Pool in Clarendon Hills twice a week for recreational swimming. The outdoor pool is supervised by trained lifeguards as well as the camp staff. The swim days are times are set for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. However, changes may occur according to weather conditions.Field Trips

Field Trips & Camp T-Shirts
Day Camp includes one paid field trip per session and the Camp Operation Fun camp includes one paid field trip per week. In addition, both camps will also take walking field trips to local parks, nearby attractions or down town businesses each week.  Information and permission forms pertaining to these activities are sent home in advance. 

Camp T-Shirts
Two camp shirts per child are included in the camp fee and they are required to be worn every day to camp and especially on field trip days. Families that register their child for more than one session of camp will receive one extra shirt (up to 3 shirts total). Additional shirts will be made available to purchase once the camp program begins for a minimal fee of $6 each.
